Products description
In 2005, after four albums, a spectacular breakup and a six-year hiatus, a tender, green stalk fought its way out of the heap of ashes that had remained from the North German trio Ulme. The first tentative buds blossomed in the summer of 2006 with the EP "The Glowing", and now there is a mighty tree again. Elm are back! The brothers Arne and Jan-Eric Heesch are now supported by Tim Liedtke (ex-Sissies) on bass. Stylistically they are still connected to the early 90s. The word "grunge" is socially acceptable again, Seattle can be named as a reference and the distortion has been turned up to ten again.
But elms stand for more. For a collision of contrasting worlds: on the one hand, the heaviest heavy rock sounds, on the other hand, something melancholy and fragile makes its way, full of uncertainty and questions, fragile voices and personal lyrics. The entire production was created independently for the first time, seems more brittle and transparent than ever before, whereby the heaviness and hardness gains not least from the breaks and quiet parts. An absolutely convincing comeback.
