The Koblenz-based band formed in 1996 and within a very short time and after only 6 studio days, the band itself released their first album in a limited edition... It was called "Heliophobe" and shows in a somewhat reduced sound the quality and class that this band still has today. Of course, the closeness to the musical twin brother BLACKMAIL, in which Kurt Ebelhäuser also swings the musical scepter, can be heard, but SCUMBUCKET is something like the free, detached and wacky version of it. An album is released every few years. 60s, pop, indie rock and noise escapades galore.

In 2009 the remake of "Heliophobe" came back with a new cover artwork and completely re-recorded and produced under the name "Heliophobia". A tremendous piece of rock that appears in a contemporary guise and can finally satisfy the fans' hunger for the long-sought songs.
