Products description
Every music fan knows them, the little pearls in one's own collection, which one carries in one's heart, but whose value only a few recognize and appreciate. JUD are such a pearl, which with their releases between 1996 and 2001 were important and valuable for many and despite later activities in other bands were not forgotten. 6 years after "Perfect Life" their 5th album was released in 2008 and the band blossomed into new life.
"Sufferboy" was produced by Jon Caffery, who had a hand in Joy Division albums, but also produced other "Factory" bands such as Einstuerzenden Neubauten. Jon became a fan of the band who wanted to make the album and wasn't "bought" by any means, spending days and weeks mixing and mastering that would otherwise be priceless.
The album has remained unmistakably JUD. Heavy guitars, big sounds, scratchy, driving. The dark and desperately accusatory hymns full of pathos inspire and carry you away. The little stories, full of questions and doubts, have remained. A link to one's own history has succeeded. JUD are back and have gained expression. Great songs and character! Another pearl for the collection.
