Products description
Hathors are contradictions on all levels. The opposite of streamlined. Big melodies and catchy hooklines, but these are spat out and sawn up by guitars. Here, too, absolute beauty is destroyed and wildly overplayed. It smells like garage, rock, original punk and the grunge that could have sprung from old Amphetamine Reptile or subpop albums.
From the 2011 debut album to 2014's "Brainwash" to here, "the development is like a pendulum that initially swung a little uncoordinated and now more and more finds its center", says Marc Bouffe, singer and guitarist of the band. You have found each other. Attention to detail mingles with spontaneity, the band's charm never restrains their anger and energy. Multi-layered songwriting and great variety characterize an album that quickly carries you away, but can also offend you.
And also lyrically the band has grown and has something to say. Even the title indicates the direction. "Panem et circenses" Latin for "bread and circuses". Despite all the rowdyness, you can definitely talk to this band...
