Products description
From Sweden! Or to be more precise, from the Swedish province of Östersund, 500 kilometers north of Stockholm. This is where the story of GRANDE ROSES began and this is where the info could end and you would have a rough idea how this band sounds.
Why do Scandinavians always do this? Rock, so heavy and dark, so retro and yet at the same time so fresh, catchy and poignant!
After the grandiose 2013 album "Disease" GRANDE ROSES refined their style and sound. Rock at the interface between punk and wave carried the 80s into the new millennium. Full of pathos and songs of a size that has stadium format and yet so snotty that they fit into any club. Deep black and yet with melodies in a color that pushes every printer to its limits. The driving rhythms are also formative, as is the constantly rushed drumming, which never lets the band sound relaxed. Shifting down and at the same time in the high speed range, the five sets off on the journey through the nine tracks of the album "Built On Schemes". Frontman Göran Andersson's vocals sound accusatory, unsatisfied and painful. It's not just his voice that reminds him of the charismatic preachers of rock. Greg Sage from The Wipers or Justin Sullivan from New Model Army, Ian Curtis, Matt Berninger, Andrew Eldritch, Wayne Hussey.
When music magazines from Classic Rock to Metal Hammer, from Visions to OX-Fanzine praise such a band with the utmost respect, you stand above the genres. Rock, Metal, Punk, Wave, Gothic.
