Products description
Master suddenly came back in 2001. J.G.Thirlwell aka Fetus hadn't been heard from for a long time. And then: "Flow".
The last work was released on the English label Big Cat in the mid-nineties. Back then, J.G.Thirlwell went by a variety of names, whether it was Fetus Interruptus or Scraping Fetus Off The Wheel, Fetus Inc., or his third name, Clint Ruin. As Clint Ruin, Foetus was also responsible for the ingenious project Wiseblood together with Roli Mosimann (Swans).
A pioneer and innovator, a legend, one who to this day seems denied commercial success, but one who is respected and honored. It doesn't matter if Mike Patton praises him, the Melvins invite him as a guest on their albums, or his remixes are requested (In recent years Thirlwell has appeared as a remixer on and off. The list of acts that have called upon his mixing skills is included seemingly endless: Front 242, Nine Inch Nails, Marylin Manson, Jon Spencer, Boss Hog, Danzig, Red Hot Chili Peppers etc.).
FOETUS stands for underground and alternative in the best sense of the word. Between noise, industrial and punk, post-gothic, EBM and alternative rock, he doesn't shy away from any style element and so surprises are more the norm.
