Foetus - Blow CD

On Blow, Foetus presents remixed versions of all songs from his grandiose Flow album. Among the remixers are fetal companions from industrial and no wave who seem to be primarily interested in making Mr. Thirlwell's aggressive, oppressive, psychotic jazz industrial punk even more aggressive, oppressive and psychotic den "Young Gods" delivers an underground, frozen "Need Machine" version without a beat: Foetus post mortem. NIN's Charlie Clouser gives "Quick Fix" a well-fitting coat of metal bombast through conventional but impressively dense sequencing. Thirlwell has also invited young DJs and electronica hobbyists to the mixing desk, but the results are not always so convincing because some of the musicians cleanse the originals of the dirt and blood that these songs need to live: Amon Tobin and Pan Sonic fiddle e.g. B. on overdriven drum samples, which is interesting in itself, but has little to do with Fetus.
