The Armenian "Yelq" roughly means upheaval or new beginning. A surprising title for the second solo album. After the surprisingly subtle and fragile solo debut "A Gentle Kind Of Disaster", which was also celebrated by the rock press despite its quiet tones, "Yelq" is actually a new beginning. Above all, the basic mood changed - the sound seems to be more optimistic, even if "Yelq" is far from being a happy pop album. It continues to exude that peculiarly melancholic feeling, which nevertheless gets a lot of light.
