With "PONCHO EXPRESS" (2012) COOGANS BLUFF took a big step and a surprising turn.

After their frontman had to take a baby break, but the band didn't want to turn down a tempting offer to play at the legendary Duna Jam Festival in Sardinia, they began to rebuild the set and work more with horns, bringing in more groove and soul. Bassist Clemens grabbed the mic and the result was an insane mixture of the young Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Italo-Western sounds and a Jimmy Castor with his 70s funk bunch, weighing tons and crushing everything.

Recorded live and analogue, organic and authentic vibes, riff rock, melodic, catchy, funky. When the wafts of fog have cleared, you can dance or shake your head. The donkey is saddled... take a ride.
