From album to album, new musical components gain in importance, others become smaller, less important or disappear completely: we find krautrock, progressive, fusion on the Flugrouten, but also space rock, psychedelic or blues rock. In old course books you even read about stoner rock, funk and heavy.
But it always remained recognizable COOGANS BLUFF. A self-explanatory band that certainly rocks retro, but sounds fresh, contemporary and above all independent. A band that calls itself a reference. And “Metronopolis” is their next stop in the rock universe.
