Products description
Melodious, radical, shot: the Limburg hardcore collective ups the ante.
First it took them 13 years to finally get their first album into the hands of a label, and then they recorded the follow-up barely 13 months later. Bubonix were just a bunch of creative individualists that were difficult to tame - everything in and from their own hands, politically active and convincing.
"Capsaicin" is a sharp, crazy and quite surprising album. The musical diversity can sometimes be confusing, and the spirits always run away with the Limburgs, but are held together by the band's own sound. They left pure punk and hardcore behind for a long time. Metal hardcore is only a small part, indie rock meets prog meets pop and sniffs the electronics. And once again Kurt "Scumbucket" Ebelhäuser had his producer fingers in the pie. The result is more melodic than ever: big refrains, great songs, catchy and yet repeatedly shot and broken up - powerful, radical, uncompromising and inspiring. Here's to the next 13 years!
