The quartet, which formed in Munich’s Werksviertel district and developed its own style through extensive jam sessions, has been together since 2019.
Psychedelic sixties rock blends with a sweet, melodic indie pop aesthetic and sprawling space jam parts. Kraut-tinged psych meets stoner riffs, funk embraces dirty fuzz. Songs that take surprising turns, that take their time – just like the lyrics that always demand attention.
Their love for the sound of the 70s is always audible, but the four musicians also explore modern playgrounds with confidence and a lot of fun. The interplay between guitars, synthesizers, and electric piano, as well as the multi-part vocals, gives the band’s sound a unique and recognizable charm. Here, contradictions merge into a unity, and as the SZ newspaper so beautifully put it, “Pavement meets Krautrock eccentricity.” Indie simplicity disappears into psychedelic structures.”
In February 2023, MISS MELLOW released their debut album online, which not only garnered the band an overwhelming response and concerts, but also attracted interest from the Greek psych label Sound-Effect-Recordings, which is now releasing the album on vinyl.
