The Great Machine

Albums

The trio from Tel Aviv has been active for more than ten years and just released their fifth album. It is incomparably more versatile and colorful than before. As the Haaretz Magazine put it so beautifully “they looked like ancient warriors in the midst of the decisive battle and they also sounded like that.”
The brothers Aviran and Omer Haviv and their friend and drummer Michael Izaky have been established in the scene for a long time and have gained a lot experience on their way. An outstanding live band that has played support shows for Ozzy Osbourne, Fu Manchu and Patti Smith, a UK and European tour with All Them Witches, numerous festivals and hundreds of their own shows. They also represent the local scene in Tel Aviv and run their own club called “Ashram” in their hometown. Their love for the rock circus seems to be unbreakable. The trio is still full of desire for the next club show and trio enjoys life on the road – and you can hear that on their 5th album.
Musically, the band has grown enormously. They have reduced the amount of endless jam sessions and instrumental passages in favor of clearly arranged and powerful rock songs. The production is powerful, transparent and yet still dirty. “Funrider” impresses and surprises with its catchy songs. Variety defines the album. Versatility between high-speed stoner, punk, hardcore, sludgy psychedelic, heavy rock or 90s grunge rock. Or as Lemmy used to say: “We are The Great Machine and we play rock’n’roll”, or something like that.
