What can you expect from a band that describes itself as “the Blink 182 of garage fuzz”? Catchy rock anthems? Three-part vocals? Mountains of fuzz, reverb and echo? Big melodies behind a gigantic wall of sound?

Punk, glam and heavy rock meet psychedelic sound excesses and flying wahwah guitars: THE BALLET BOMBS. The band from Eindhoven exudes the spirit of past decades, but at the same time breathes new life into the genres. Their Songs are contemporary and bursting with energy! – and despite the massive guitar thunderstorm, they are catchy, which has earned them the not entirely serious reputation of being “the Blink 182 of garage fuzz”.
Their 10inch is also a stylish debut in terms of format. Recorded live, raw, unadorned and full of enthusiasm. Catchy rock anthems, three-part vocals, mountains of fuzz, reverb and echo. Great melodies behind a gigantic wall of sound. But others, like the “Roadburn”-festival, have already discovered that this band has potential.

And the name? Ballet? Bombs? Is there something we should know? “The Ballet Bombs really stands for what we are. On one hand we create tough, noisy, energetic, explosive music. But on the other hand we’re just sweet guys, we love glam and don’t have to be edge and the tough guys all the time. And if you listen closely, a lot of songs are just nice songs about life, friendships, girls and love. Just like the band name, on one hand tough and explosive and on the other actually just sweet. A bit yin-yang.” It seems you don’t have to be afraid of rock music. They are still around, the young and wild ones who love excessive live shows, have funny pseudonyms and wear crude stage clothes. And ask with a mischievous grin: Oh Girl, are you looking for a boyfriend?
