The Dodge roars slowly along the dusty road towards Los Angeles. It has come all the way from Richmond, Virginia. The band’s history began in 1996, and if Steve, Hoss and David have their way, pretty much anything could happen.

The three friends have known each other practically since birth and yet it took them over two decades to come up with the idea of forming a band called Jud. Steve Cordrey (Bs), Hoss Wright (Dr) and David Clemmons (Voc, Git) are the original line-up. Three albums and various European tours leave the band’s head, singer and guitarist stranded in Berlin, where David Clemmons revives various band and solo projects and finally, years later, another JUD album is released before the story comes to an end. Or so it seems …

Jud are dark, heavy and melancholic, stoner rock, heavy and even Black Sabbath or the Melvins like to sound through. But they also always have an acoustic side that is very American. Singer-songwriter echoes that sound different in the band, but work perfectly on David Clemmons’ solo tours.
