Eight Dayz

If you enter EIGHT DAYZ as a search term, you will to this day find countless discussions, comments, videos, song snippets, reports and pictures. On music, lifestyle and skateboard sites alike! Not only was CLAUS GRABKE, the band’s frontman and singer, one of the biggest names in the early days of skateboarding, but he still has a legendary international reputation today. With their albums, but above all with “What’s So Strange About Me”, EIGHT DAYZ have succeeded in creating a song that for many is the musical backdrop to their skateboarding days.

The first two songs by EIGHT DAYZ ended up on a free tape in THRASHER magazine, after which SANTA CRUZ got in touch and asked for more songs for a skateboard film. The fact that this film – “Wheels Of Fire” – is still a cult object in the skating community today and that EIGHT DAYZ, especially “What’s So Strange About Me”, was part of skating and the associated attitude to life for many, could not have been foreseen at the time.

The fact that this cult and demand still exists today, even though the music has not been available for a long time, can be seen from the numerous comments and requests that can still be found online. Songs by EIGHT DAYZ have been covered countless times and are often used in skateboard and snowboard videos!

Almost twenty years after the band’s demise, new images and videos continue to emerge. And the first rumors about a re-release of the recordings sparked further discussions and comments on the usual sites worldwide.

Now all three of the band’s official albums are available, lovingly remastered and complete, plus three previously unreleased tracks.
