“Onyx”
Joy of playing, craftsmanship, but above all refined arrangements and the typical vintage sound characterize the album, which has never lost the necessary genre patina. A coherent and stylistically confident album that takes old heroes out of the display case, dusts them off and respectfully puts them back in the right light. Surprising new moments, quieter songs, acoustic guitars, ballads that always remain pleasantly gruff thanks to the raspy vocals. And of course the dual guitars of Max Raine and frontman Felix Scholl, which always set the tone. Together, supporting, complementing, but also dueling each other in top form, accents and a thick hyphen are placed in front of the rock – and before that, proto, heavy, blues or retro are cheerfully swapped back and forth.
