Back, although they’ve never really been away. THE FLYING EYES only went on a major European tour in 2016, but it still took them a while to release their fifth album. The work has become all the more impressive, brimming with self-confidence and good songs, full of riffs and sparkling ideas. Great artwork, great sound, perfect!

But it’s not just musically that the four have grown and are more self-confident than ever. The political stance, the socially critical attitude, a little “Fuck Trump” on the band photos – all of this is the result of a clear attitude. The fact that this band has more to say than phrases and rock slogans is audible and visible. Even the album title – a line from the song “Circle Of Stone” – sets the tone. ‘As far as what the album title means, to me it reflects how human activity is leading to the destruction of the natural world,’ explains Elias Schutzman. “Can I wake up from madness? Than give me a reason, I don’t know how to stop this, The burning of the season – Pollution and treason, How can we live without them?”
