Firewater – Live In Portland
Firewater – Live In Portland
Almost two decades after the debut, a live album has been released for the first time that reflects the energy and fascination of this band.
Not least Tod’s great voice, which has already made Cop Shoot Cop an unforgettable band, characterizes the special atmosphere at every concert and the madness “on stage”. On “Live in Portland” there is a ride through the two decades and all the albums. Turkish percussion chases guitars and horns, multicultural offbeats underpin anthems full of frustration, hope, movement and change.
The songs roam through a wide variety of grooves and rhythms, such as Turkish maqsoum, Punjabi bhangra, Jamaican ska and even classic punk rock or old-school mambo. It seems no coincidence that Tod A wears a Clash T-shirt in many promotional photos, because few have succeeded so brilliantly and seductively in capturing the spirit of the legendary punk rockers and openly incorporating other musical styles and making them their own. FIREWATER know how to mix styles and rhythms from all over the world with contemporary rock and pop music and bring them to the stage!!!
