Tour Promotion / Album Re-Release “Sun Dog”

The Swedish MAIDAVALE, who we already supported on their second album “Madness is too Pure”, are coming on an extensive European tour in February and March to present their third album “SUN DOG”, once again with a non-album track.

Formed in Fårösund on the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea in 2012, they shared a love of 60s and 70s psychedelic rock and laid the foundations for the band. Gradually, other influences were added and the foursome incorporated neo-psychedelia and krautrock, post-punk, funkadelia and North African blues.

With their acclaimed debut “Tales of the Wicked West” (2016), they quickly conquered the European mainland. Just two years later came their second album “Madness is too Pure” and they cemented their reputation in the European psych-rock scene with a bold and experimental take on the genre, which earned them a nomination for the Swedish music award “P3 Guld” in the rock category alongside acts such as Graveyard.

On their third album “Sun Dog”, they have now worked with producer Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (The Soundtrack of Our Lives) and György Barocsai. They paint with a wider color palette and immerse themselves more than ever in their own world of neo-psychedelia. Fittingly, the guests on the current album are Tinariwen’s Said Ag Ayad and John Agnello, who is known for his work with Kurt Vile and The Black Angels.

The band has played well-known festivals such as the Manchester Psych Fest, Burg Herzberg Festival, Rockpalast, Barcelona Psych Fest, Sweden Rock Festival, Bordeaux Psych Fest and the Desertfest in Berlin.
