This is how a debut album should be. Unpretentious, full of joy and without calculation. Free, wild, unbridled and rampant. “Villa” has all of this and shows in many directions where the trio could go in the future, just as it is still anchored in the band’s short history together.

Psychedelic, heavy and then again and again these playful and light session parts that bring their own touch to the Nap universe. Just like the unexpected twang guitar sounds that come from the “old days” and bring surprising colors into play.
NAP are a band that was formed out of the joy of jam sessions together, who found each other musically before the first thoughts about musical direction, style, image or other trivialities came to the table. It’s all about music and making music. And you can hear that in every second.

In moments when you want to settle on instrumental rock, there are great lead vocals that add to the bombastic arrangements. Exceptional songs such as “Donnerwetter” or the majestic “Ungeheuer”, which practically carries the description of the song as its title, grow with every minute – and NAP’s songs are not short.

VISONS raves about a “clever combination of doom, krautrock, psych and hard rock” and “a change of pace awaits you at every turn, new approaches and sounds, but the songs never seem overloaded.”

MOREFUZZ quickly sums up his enthusiasm. “If you have to listen to one album today this is it. A mindblowing piece of Heavy Psych all done in DIY mode, though the production is awesome” . The signpost of heavy rock THE OBELISK raises his thumb with a short: “No complaints.” And MUSIKREVIEWS asked clearly “Is this really the debut of a young Oldenburg band or are old hands playing under a pseudonym?”

8 songs. 43 minutes. Self-recorded and produced in the “Villa”, which is actually also a rehearsal room and apartment. A DIY debut that promises a lot and in its brittle and impetuous way is sure to be a lot of fun.
