In the mid-nineties, they were one of the most exciting and hottest bands: Soul Coughing. With hits such as “Super Bon Bon” and “Circles”, the New York group caused a worldwide sensation with their hip-hop and noise-influenced slacker jazz and were on their way to the top, only to implode.

Now the band’s voice can be heard again: MIKE DOUGHTY. As soon as the band was history, the singer was touring America with just a guitar in his car and selling his CDs at concerts. The albums have since been released on the renowned US label ATO Records, and Doughty also introduced himself to Europe with the song selection “Introduction”. The follow-up album “Sad Man Happy Man” was presented with one of his rare European tours.
